Meet Your Accountant |

Sheppard & Ormsby

Meet The Team

We keep all your accounting work in our hive, handled by our buzzing team whose faces you see here. You won’t catch us outsourcing your work overseas.

Chartered Accountant & Director | Rangiora

Bronwyn Candish

Bronwyn took over the ownership of Sheppard & Ormsby in February 2022.

Raised in the Manawatu (Ashhurst to be precise) but chose to make her home in Canterbury – the weather’s better. Bronwyn’s desire to have the best of both worlds, balancing living in the South Island with quality family time in the North Island is to blame for us having offices in both Rangiora and Palmy.

Thanks to her young son, Bronwyn can name over 40 Thomas characters. She’s on the path to FI/RE and loves to bang on about financial independence to anyone who will listen.

Accountant | Bulls

Ellen McSweeney

Ellen is our resident newbie and an Aussie – don’t hold it against her! Based remotely in Bulls, Ellen has lived in NZ for a few years now with her two young children and has made an interesting career change from midwife to accountant.

Senior Accountant (Accounting Technician) | Palmerston North

Michelle Williamson

Michelle joined our team in late 2024, bringing with her more than 30 years of accounting expertise. A problem-solver at heart, she loves finding solutions to clients’ complex issues and mentoring junior accountants to provide outstanding service and support to their clients. Outside of work, you’ll find Michelle enjoying the great outdoors - be it camping, scuba diving or tending to her vege garden.
Executive Assistant | Palmerston North

Steph Whittington

Keeps Bronwyn in line as her assistant which probably should be a full-time job, but she somehow manages to fit it in around her two gorgeous girls. Steph works remotely from Levin (that’s sort of Palmy right?) and makes it all look easy.
Practice Manager | Rangiora

Tracey Miles

Is a wonder woman! She used to be one of our favourite clients until it was decided many years ago that we wanted her for ourselves. She also works her magic on the family farm and keeping an eye on her (almost) all grown-up brood. It’s her laugh you can hear from the stairs.
